Who we are

The Scriptures teach us that we should lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. What is the armor of light? The armor is what we put on to protect us from impending danger and anything that could cause us harm spiritually, emotionally and physically. The light is the word that came out of the mouth of God when He said, “let there be light.” This is not the light that comes from the sun and moon which was created by God on the fourth day (Genesis 1:16). The word spoken by God was his breath (spirit). The Bible says, the Spirit of God moved upon the waters of the earth.  The earth was without form void, full of darkness (Genesis 1:1). Scriptures teach us “….for God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ,”(II Corinthians 4:4-6). Christ is the Light of the world! The AOLCWC will endeavor to guide the believer in God’s love and with the help of the Holy Spirit on how important it is to walk in God’s light (Matthew 5:14-16; Ephesians 5:8; 1John 1:5-7). Putting on the armor of light is putting on everything that Jesus the Christ represents according to sacred scriptures!  Many confessing christians have Christ in their heart however, moving about in the world, many confessing Christians are not willing to lay aside the deeds of darkness and things of the flesh that prevent those in our world from seeing Christ.
I believe that we are living in the last days and those that are asleep in Christ must wake up.  Putting on the armor of light is being in position to discern darkness through the wisdom and knowledge which comes from knowing God through relationship and a consecrated life.  AOLCWC endeavors to bring knowledge and light to areas we must put off or lay aside. The Holy scriptures say, "My people perish because of the lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6)

The Vision

The vision of The Armor of Light Christian Worship Center is to establish an environment that will nurture spiritual growth, identify and develop the believers gifts, talents, purpose and place in the body of Christ, according to Ephesians 4:11-13, “And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders) some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.  His intention was the perfecting and full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church), [that it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.” (Amplified Bible)

We envision creating a multicultural atmosphere where any person who is willing to submit to the Holy Spirit and to the authority of the scriptures can be perfected, reaching a place of maturity for the work of the ministry.  Our focus is to bring the whole person by the leading of the Holy Spirit into harmony with the authority and power of God’s word.   I Peter 5:10, “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor]. Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will securely strengthen, and settle you” creating an environment where God’s people bear fruit, identifying and teaching the faithful who are able to teach others also.”   II Timothy 2:2 “And the [instructions] which you have heard from me along with many witnesses, transmit and entrust [as a deposit] to reliable and faithful men who will be competent and qualified to teach others also.” (Amplified Bible)

Our Mission

The Mission of the Armor of Light Christian Worship Center is to obey the command given in Matthew 28:20, “teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the {very} close and consummation of the age.”  Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.” (Amplified Bible).

This will be accomplished by promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ and His kingdom throughout the world, establishing satellite churches and educational schools throughout the world, preaching and teaching the Word of God and its message of salvation, healing and deliverance.  Our mission is to  create a multicultural church and move beyond racial barriers, demonstrate the love of God through truth and power, and bring all who are willing to be transformed into the image and likeness of Jesus the Christ by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Corresponding to our mission statement, the Armor of Light Christian Worship Center will place strong emphasis on:

Praise and worship (God’s worthiness)
Youth Empowerment (developing/training/ministry/worship/the arts)
Cultural Diversity  (discerning the body)

God’s design for the family (Christian freedom and grace)
Social and economic empowerment
Bringing forth sons and daughters equipped to reach the world, bearing much fruit.
